I think I have to go with Michael Johnson (who is black) on this one.

That's what the Paralympics are for, right?

Yeah...that's right.

I wonder how definitive the guidelines are. Suppose a sprinter lost a hand. Would they be allowed in the Paralympics?

It's one step closer to my dream of robot olympics.

Remember that arcade football game way back in the day that had dual screens and you couldn't see your opponents side and the players were all robots? That's another dream of mine.

That kind of sounds familiar. Did it use a track ball?

I think so.

It was around in the 80's at arcades.

He's only being allowed to compete because of the warm/fuzzy human interest story attached to it. We see a man who won't allow a handicap to hold him back, the media loves it. The powers that be are well aware of the fact he is a non factor in the grand scheme of things so ok let him compete.

If this guy was running 43.00 and winning World/Olympics he would be gone. Poof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If his 4x4 team were to win the upcoming Olympic gold medal and his split was something like 42.5, trust me there would be a protest.

mmm. That's not what I was thinking of.
But speaking of robots, did you ever catch Battlebots when it came on several years ago?

Yes, but never really got into it.....mostly because the show featured nerds.

I learned some bad ass phrases.

"I'll be back"
"Hasta la vista, baby"
"Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina"

I'm sorry, but no. Most the newer sports prosthetic have advantages over a real leg for example when it comes to running.
