NBA Rumors – Marco Belinelli to Chicago Bulls?
July 19, 2012 06:40 PM EDT

Chicago has struggled to fill empty roster spots this off-season and the number of players that are still available is shrinking each day. The Bulls have lost three bench players and possibly a fourth and must find some depth if they want to contend in the NBA this season.

Marco Belinelli from New Orléans is the best shooting guard still unsigned this summer and the former first round draft pick is mulling over his options. The latest rumor from Hoopsworld has the Bulls as one of four possible teams that could sign the Italian shooting guard and the Bulls could really use his offensive skills as they wait for All-Star Derrick Rose to return from injury.

The 26-year-old averaged nearly 12 points for a poor Hornets team last year and has scored nine points per game in his career. A career 39% shooter from three-point territory, Belinelli is a player that will shoot from anywhere on the floor and not a bad defender, making him a very good option for the short-handed Bulls squad.

With the NBA Summer Leagues already started, teams need to act quickly with the remaining free agents and have their rosters ready for the start of training camp. The Bulls are desperate for some help on their bench and the team would be wise to add the sharp-shooting guard before another team signs him.

If he's the best SG available, then I'm the Queen of England.

Gimme a break.

The dude is only a 3-point shooter who doesn't do anything else well. One-dimensional player who struggled for most of the season and took off the last couple of months. Poor defender as well.
