Mayo has the skills to be a multi-year all star even though he has dropped off somewhat the last couple of years. He could still get there. I've always thought highly of Kaman, especially his ability to hit the mid-range J and decent rebounding.

Collison was giving CP3 a run for his money with the Hornets and still has loads of upside potential because he is still really young. Shawn Marion remains serviceable even in his advanced years. Elton Brand still has a lot of value in that he brings rugged power and an offensive skillset to the power forward/C slot. Teamed with Dirk, this is a more dangerous team than last year. I expect them to place top 3 in the West and also to make some noise in the playoffs.

If they all stay healthy (looking at Kaman/Brand) they could be good. How good, don't know.

They will be good and there don't seem to be any chemistry headaches waiting to happen with that group either. The moves were impressive.

The Mavs are more dangerous than last year, but I doubt they'll be a contender, tbh..they'll need Dirk to go on another 2011-type run, just to have a shot..

Their frontcourt is impressive from an offensive standpoint, but Dirk/Kaman/Brand will get destroyed on the boards and on the defensive end of the floor(Brand is good on D, but undersized)..

Their backcourt is nice, especially if they re-sign West, but they'll need Mayo to emerge as a star, and a noticeable upgrade over Terry(which currently isn't the case), to emerge as a top team IMO..

Quite possibly the best owner in league history tbh. I like the fact where he don't overpay for NBA players just for the sake of signing someone to fill up the seats. Everyone should learn from him.

His offseason haul so far has been amazing!!! All this without breaking the bank like NY and Boston. Mavs will be exciting and will shock a lot of people next year. WCF appearance is not out of the question.

There's a difference between being a civilian and a professional soldier. If you're a professional soldier you need a gun no matter how old you are because your job is to kill other people. If you're a civilian chances are you don't have a job murdering people and thus having a rifle is quite unjustified. Just because you drive a tank into the battlefield doesn't mean you need one for personal use.

His numbers now are worse and less efficient than they were in his first year or two. I thought they would take a bump the year Gay went out. They didn't. He's a coaster, and happy with what he is now. He's making millions to ball, and he DGAF about anything else.

Yeah I don't need some uninformed Frenchie to tell me about my country whenever you got your own bullshit you should be dealing with.

First of all, you can't buy "assault rifles like candies." The gun used wasn't even an assault rifle. It was a replica made to look like one which actually fires just like a hunting rifle. It wasn't an automatic weapon. You should really know what you're talking about if you're going to talk shit.

Like there are only uninformed Frenchies who question that, read the newspaper.

Compared to other countries, you can buy assault rifles like candies because it is freaking prohibited to buy assault rifles in most civilized other countries. Oh and BTW I wasn't talking specifically about the movie theater tragedy, I didn't follow this whole story.

Right now I'm living here with my two kids and paying tax like you do therefore I'm entitled to have an opinion and my opinion is that it is way too easy to buy a gun in this country and carry a gun should be prohibited.

making your own personal experience a generality is bit of a stretch tbh. I'm happy your grandparents retired just fine, some other people don't have this chance because they were lazy or life has been hard for them (illness, handicap...).

People in the U.S. who are unable to work qualify for disability. People who are simply lazy are generally thought to get what they deserve -- why should the rest of us pay good money to support freeloaders?

This country became a country because citizens took up arms to expel foreign rulers. As a result, guns are part of our culture. I'm sure that from European eyes it's weird and unsafe, but here it's just part of who we are.

Yeah, there's definitely a wide gulf of difference. Though I'm not sure how much is cutting bridges and how much is simply agreeing to disagree. But we've definitely come a long way from the post-WWII era when both sides had a clear understanding that they needed to work together.
