Definitely a boost to a rotation that has had its share of issues. Will be interesting last 60 games or so for the AL West race and even the AL altogether because in my opinion the AL West has been the most exciting one of late, if not the best. Congrats there Ranger fans.

He said he wanted to go to the Yankees or the Rangers after the LA deal didn't go through.

it's not bad to add another reliable pitcher to your squad but the obvious weakness at 1B remains there and will end up costing again. they should soothe where the pain is imho, it looked a good deal for texas when they dealt two minor leaguers for a multi-time all star but it doesn't seem like a Tyson Chandler style of move that immediately escalates the team to another level tbh.
