The odds of Duncan getting another ring in the next 3 years are slim however they are better than the odds of any team besides Miami and possibly OKC. Getting a ring is slim for any team even the teams in contention don't have great odds. The odds of Duncan getting a ring wearing a uniform besides a spurs uniform are next to none, unless he chooses to join a rec league after retiring. Hum yeah when it comes to that I think I'd want the old guy that looks like Tim Ducan at the Y on my team. Then again I'm in demand there as a tall guy at 6'3".

No. He's not a superstar anymore, and the only thing they have that's close to a superstar is a PG (lol). They're another year older and basically bringing the same team back that got backdoor swept last year.

Maybe they get a couple more deep playoff runs, but they don't have the bosses to bring home a LOB anymore.

It's over.

The Spurs were only "one" player away from getting past the Thunder.

If Danny Green wasn't a born-scrub then I'd give the Spurs a chance. He showed his true colors in the WCF.

Are you saying Danny Green was the key to another ring?

Remember wen the Spurs got rid of Rodman?

I think Rodman got rid of the Spurs.

Leonard is in the development stage of being an all-star.

Guaranteed. This season imho, but the team needs luck, because Miami can beat any team tbh.

Will Dirk?

Dirk will almost certainly retire with one ring. Duncan can possibly retire with 5 but it depends on many variables. Among these variables are:

Will Danny Green go back to playing like a starter? Will Leonard develop into an all star? Will Pop finally start playing Duncan and Splitter together effectively? Will Manu get injured? Will any stars in Miami get injured? Will Patrick Mills surprise everybody next season? Can the Spurs get a good big man for Blair and Neal? Can de Colo take off in the NBA?

It all depends but if these variables swing in the Spurs favor then they have a better shot than anyone else in the West right now.

Son, Duncan needs to come to Lob City and teach Griffin his ways, tbh... Griffin's athleticism plus a few elements of Duncan's :cry classy fundamentals :cry would be unstoppable, tbh....

I still can't believe that total scrub chose the Clippers to blow his career three-point shooting load on....

Oh, Gee!!

doubtful, the last two seasons were his best shots. I don't think they'll be a real threat in the West with the Thunder and the Lakers

I think the window is shut. The Thunder and Lakers will be much better next year.

By that same logic Duncan could go to any team in the NBA today.

Nope. The Spurs have no superstars unless Kawhi Leonard turns into the next LeBron or Durant overnight.

Also any team that has Bonner and Blair as backup power forwards isn't a contender.

Nope. The Spurs have no superstars .

So according to you no one on team today had anything to do with 4 NBA championship rings San Antonio has today?

WTF kind of wannabe "Spurs" fan are you "pretending" to be?

Spurs are unlikely to win the another title in the Duncan era, though they can have a top 5 finish.

Their title hopes hinge on health and gradual decrease in skills by their top 3, while younger teams have key injuries. In other words, this team can't beat three to four of the other top teams if those teams are healthy.

unless we get an all-star player or he goes to Miami then no way.

He might get close but I think they really blew their last real chance last season, especially with the Lakers being on top of the league now.

All that needs to happen is the Spurs to get an honest chance. Not get buttfucked by the officials. Not have okc go luck-chuck. The league is not gonna part the red sea like they do for the lakers over and over. So have to have the luck of good health and find a way to somehow get a fair shake.

ship him out to the heat, let him retire with 7 rings. otherwise, he's just going to stay at 4 on the spurs.

if Kawhi can continue growing and become a badass, maybe he can be the Nitrotrinadium that we need to go back in time.

but realistically, our chances aren't that great. not with Lakers fully reloaded for the 20th time. i'm hoping for the best.

More like one or two fairly called games away from getting past the Thunder.

The Spurs were better than OKC last year. OKC tanking like bitches in the Finals was proof enough.

I think this season the big 3 can't be the same for us to win. Duncan and Ginobili have to be support players. That means two guys stepping up for us. The guys who can do it are probably Diaw and Leonard.
