...yep an all day marathon. One right after the other, something you had planned so you already have the munchies/goodies. You've taken care of any business, got some good sleep the night behind. This will be a serious assualt on ....movies, your favorites.

We'll go with two hours per movie, or twelve movies. Being this is a fantasy...........

Anyway.

Starting off at 12am...King Kong the 1933 original, to this day Hollywood has never improved on that T-Rex that Kong kicked ass on. He was the ultimate Hollywood dinosaur.

2am...Conan, yep, the recent one. Robert E. Howard would have been proud of this attempt to portray his Hyborian Age and his legendary Cimmerian wanderer. A job well done. Those with Arnold sucked.

4am..Casablanca...all the gin joints in the world and she had to find Rick's. No place in the movie do we hear...play it again Sam. The cat who played Sam in the below movie.

6am..Stormy Weather...Cab Calloway, Bill Robinson, Lena Horne, The Nicolas Brothers, an all black cast showing us how a musical should be done. Bill Robinson held all kinds of running backwards world records.

8am..Warriors...Warriorrrssss come out and play-eeeeeeee

10am..Remember the Titans...you make them remember the night, they played theTitans.

12pm..Roadhouse...I thought you'd be bigger. Jeff Healey!!!

2pm..On the Waterfront...I could have been a contender!!!!!!!

4pm..Cool Hand Luke...what we've got here is the failure to, communicate!

The rest of the night ...The Godfather...saga. I made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Casablanca and Warriors my favourites. Good watching, brah. How will you stay awake

Fine, I'll bite. In no particular order:

Aliens - Yes the 2nd one. Because Bill Paxton rules.

Princess Bride - A sentimental favorite, narrowly edging out Neverending Story

Shaun of the Dead - At least one zombie movie is a necessity, so why not fill in a comedy slot while we're at it?

Matrix - Filling my kung fu and cyberpunk slot (because Blade Runner is just a bit too long)

Groundhog Day - Great comedy with dark humor, and ya know, Bill Murray

Karate Kid - I can't help but sit and watch this movie whenever I catch it on cable

Predator - Terminator 2 is the sexy pick, but I have too much fun repeating the "gonna have me some fun" lines. Plus, I already picked Aliens, so it's only fair the Predator gets his due.

Boondock Saints - Being from Boston, I'm obligated to put either this, Good Will Hunting, The Town, The Departed, or some other "bahstan" movie in here. This one wins out.

The Crow - RIP Brandon Lee.

Enter the Dragon - RIP Bruce Lee.

Demolition Man - Not a great movie, but I love it anyways. Narrowly edged out Tremors in this category.

Evil Dead 2 - I need me some Bruce Campbell. Sorry Bubba Ho-tep. I still like you too.

I missed some great quirky movies that I love, but these would be the 12 I'd probably take to a desert island with me. Hopefully I can sneak some British comedies in my backpack.

It took a couple watchings to see the greatness in Casablanca. Warriors was a..wow!..right off the bat.

I can usually go a couple days without sleep if motivated.

Another good list, son. Sin City is a bloody great watch. Good story, good characters and loved the stylised action. I need to see Drugstore Cowboy and Mulholland Drive. I do love Lynch. Lost Highway is great... albeit very surreal

just think of how much good you would do for the world if you put half the time you've used for entertainment into charity.

I'm cool with charity if someone is in a position they couldn't help. Not cool with people having 7 kids they can't afford. Or a woman marrying a known fuck up. Or some guy who never applied himself and now thinks the world owes him a handout.

I had my first job at 16, picking fruit.
