I'm not a Spurs fan. I never have been, and never will be. As hard as I may try, I still bleed Maverick blue. But I couldn't help feeling rabid jealousy last night.
I don't know what it's like for my team to win it all. The last time that happened in Dallas, it was the Stars. The Stars that didn't even play this season. The Stars which are number 4 in a major sports town, behind a football team who has lost much of it's luster, a basketball team who just can't quite seem to make it, and a baseball team that hasn't made the playoffs in years. True Mavs fans crave a championship.
This is the moral of the story; Spurs fans celebrated last night. Spurs fans are proud, happy, and somewhat tipsy today. Don't take that feeling for granted. You've won three championships in the past seven years....remember that. There are teams, such as my Mavs, who haven't yet won even one championship. Ever. You are damn lucky to have a team that can give you this kind of performance, this kind of joy, so often.

Hats off the the Spurs.

Well, at least the "Death Stick" retired.

Doesn't that save Cuban a little money to spend somewhere else?

Try living in Philadelphia as a newbie here the population is starved for a championship.

Dallas will get one, some year (after Duncan retires)
