That shot was a heart-stopping moment.

Imagine Matt Bonner receiving the ball, the team being down a point, shot clock winding down, and 2 defenders running at him.

Thank goodness Patty Mills is no Matt Bonner. :toast

Impressive, Australia would be looking awesome with Bogut.

All our "big" guys except one are soo soft. All perimeter players. If we had Bogut I can't help but think what coulda been. Oh well

Baynes is the only good big guy. Maric has had a pitiful series and Nielson has done zilch

Me and my 8 year old son stayed up to watch it. After the shot we both went nuts. Great father son moment. Thank you Patty Mills

Nielsen shouldn't be on the squad. He's a hack, always has been.

Should Neal play over Mills?

I'd say no because Mills' skillset is more developed and he's younger which means he has room to grow (what is he, like 24 now?).

Mills is a better ball handler, a bit better passer (neither are great imo, sorry Mills fans), and while Neal has good agility, he just doesn't put it to good use on defense like Mills does. Neal gets faked out of his shoes a lot while I've seen Mills play some legit defense during some stretches.

In terms of shooting and scoring. . .Neal is better though.

So it just depends on what you need. You basically cannot play Neal unless Manu or TP are on the floor. Mills might be able to play without them given enough time to grow into the role.

Still, I wish TJ Ford stayed healthy. We really needed that guy last year in the OKC series. We could've beaten down OKC's guards with a full rotation of speedy backcourt guys. Too bad Baron Davis had to cheapshot him like a li'l bitch.

As I've been saying for 2 months, Patty will be our backup PG next year because he plays both ends hard. He's also a streak shooter, and a very good set-foot shooter. He's a perfect fit for us and will be one of the better backups in the NBA next season. Mark my words.

Also Mills is a PG and Neal has proven what was already obvious that he is not. It's like he is blind or refuses to pass to someone if they are wide open. Neal and Splitter was a terrible combination and the second unit was only saved by Manu's passing skills.

I have been a big fan of his ever since he debuted with the spurs. He is fearless and can score..Can't remember last time tp made a game winning shot.

It's called taking a shot where you're most comfortable with it. If you were Shaq, would you like to take two free throws with the game on the line? I don't think so...

As for half way through the 08/09 season, Parker had made 6. That doesn't include the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons though, where Parker had at least 2 that I can remember against Dallas and Utah.

This obviously doesn't include 09/10, 10/11 or 11/12 seasons either. I am at work and can't be bothered trying to search for newer stats.

Edit: Even in the last season just gone, Parker was a top 15 clutch performer.

Did you watch the game, mate? There were 4 seconds left on the clock with Patty inbounding. He passed it to a big who tried to post up but found Patty open with just a second left, passed it to him, Patty had no time to drive and took a deep three (catch and shoot) and nailed it to seal the game. Fucking epic.

Yeah, it was a nice play. A Spurs play I have seen them run many times over the years.
