I'm going under, too. Alex Smith is awful throwing the deep ball, and I think Randy is going to be the fourth or maybe even fifth WR. Add in Vernon Davis, and he'll really be the 5th or 6th target.

It will be interesting to see how Greg Roman will use him, I'm guessing as a 3rd and long guy/red zone guy

He may end up with 5 or so TD's and few actual receiving yards if this turns out to be the case

If he's committed to being more of a locker room presence and a mentor, fine, I think he'll be beneficial

But Randy has never been okay with anything other than a central role, and I'm gonna stay worried that he'll end up being a toxic presence and a distraction in the locker room if he gets unhappy

We've never seen him this old before (obviously). With some age comes maturity. He realizes this is his last stop, he knows he's not there to do what he did in Minnesota. I'm sure he understands the realities of his "current" situation.

I expect him to play a big part in this Niner offensive scheme.
