So Najera retires from playing, but is now in the Mavericks front office and coaches the Texas Legends. I say we all pay tribute to a great human being and probably the greatest Mexican in the history of mankind.

After years of the bush league Spurs delivering cheapshots with thugs like Bruce Bowen and DeJuan "Charles Barkley Jr." Blair, nobody would stand up to them. The NBA needed a hero. Eduardo Najera was not the hero the NBA deserved, but the one it needed. He would deliver a message to the Spurs that the rest of the NBA was too scared to deliver. Because he's not a hero. He's a watchful guardian. A silent protector. A dark knight.

After this magnificent act of heroism, Najera was villified by be@ners everywhere. They hunted him. They disowned him. They sic'ed the chihuahuas on him. Because he could take it.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks won their first championship and earned the respect and adoration of NBA fans worldwide. All thanks to Najera! Najera took the NBA from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept us down with myths of opportunity, and he gave it back to us... the people. The NBA is ours. None shall interfere. We can do as we please. Start by storming San Antonio, and freeing the oppressed! Step forward those who would serve. For and army will be raised. The Spurs will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. The Spurs fans will survive, as they learn to serve true justice. This great league... it will endure. The NBA will survive!

After his heroic act, the Spurs spiraled downward. The suffered the humiliation of The Skunker. Then the humiliation of 8. They were so psychologically beaten that desperate homers like ShoogarBear would attempt to lessen the impact of another playoff meltdown by saying it was okay to just "smell the roses". But to no avail, the Backdoor Sweep by OKC brought about a humiliating meltdown that can only be called The Butthurt.

The Spurs wear black because they think darkness is their ally. But they merely adopted the darkness. Najera was born it it. Molded by it. Najera didn't see the light of day till he was a man, and by then it was nothing but blinding. The shadows betray you, Spurs fans, because they belong to Najera!
