Not surprising with Ferry now running things over there.

I wish James nothing but the best in the ATL. Damn, if it wasn't for those foot injuries when he was here.

Danny Green needs to be working on his jumper not as an upcoming NBA reporter!

Yeah that is all Green has been doing this summer is working out, seen a tweet like every week or so from him or @nbacoaching mentioning Green.

I figured James would wind up either in the ATL, NO, or in ORL. He was well liked by the organization, and I'm sure that included the FO guys who moved on to bigger and better things.

I hope he gets back to where he was, but I wouldn't bet on it, watching Roddy Beaubois' career arc.

He has the right to use his Twitter and it doesn't mean that if he's using he doesn't work-out.

Releasing Byars and now sending Anderson away?

Making room for free agent signing? A big man hopefully? Cough cough Blatch cough?

Good luck to him.

ATL's biggest hole is at SG. Their best scorer at that position technically plays either guard spot and the rest... are scrubs.

Good luck to him, he showed real promise in the 6 or so games before he got injured his rookie year :-(

It's not like Anderson was ever coming back anyway. Same with Byars.

They didn't actually "send Anderson away", unless you're talking about not picking up his option back in February. His contract expired in June and his replacement is already in house: DeColo.

JA looked like a pretty solid rotational player prior to his foot injury in 2010. Wish him nothing but the best - hope he gets on the right track.

Good for him that he got another chance, but typically NBA players dominate in the summer league tbh. Hopefully he will recover his pre-injuries form.

Looks like it's just a training camp invite. Hopefully he takes advantage of the moment

Hawks GM Danny Ferry says Spurs free agent James Anderson has been invited to join the team’s veterans camp. Anderson apparently will accept, according to a tweet by former teammate Danny Green.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out with JA with the Spurs. I certainly wish Anderson the best.

Good luck, James. :tu

Was his foot injury the navicular (sp?) bone? If so, I feel for him. That's killed off many a promising athlete's career.

Yeah he definitely got his chances to show what he could do.
