MGM Grand has released odds for the 2006 Champion, and I'm not surprised, however I don't think the Heat have much of a chance if the Pistons pick up a couple big free agents.

Spurs 7-2
Pistons 5-1
Heat 5-1

A COUPLE BIG FREE AGENTS?!?!

The Pistons were one quarter from repeating. For that matter, a Robert Horry spectacular performance and Rasheed Wallace mistake from repeating. Much respect to the Spurs, they earned the championship, but the Pistons DO NOT NEED "a couple big free agents" next year.

The Pistons need a few pieces to add to their already strong core, piece which they may already have. If Arroyo or someone else can be a better back up point guard, and if Delfino or maybe a "KEY" not "BIG" free agent acquisition at shooting guard/small forward can come off the bench to provide consistent scoring, then the Pistons will be right there in contention again. If they can add a solid draft pick at any position who can provide solid bench minutes, that would help too. But the Pistons hardly need A COUPLE BIG FREE AGENTS, nor can they afford them. They will likely only have the MLE to work with to lure free agents.

You bring up good points, which is what I wanted to hear. Pistons are looking for a free agent or pretty decent draft pick in the first round. Names like Bonzi Wells, Bobby Jackson, and former ILL PG Luther Head are some of the names being thrown around.

BTW, I like the Mike D'Antoni "OWN3D" picture... that's funny.

If they were smart they would stay away from Bobby Jackson. He can have a sprained ankle turn to cancer. That is how injury prone he is.

I do agree that they do need to add at least on more key FA/draft pick to their rotation. They will be there again next year, if Brown sticks around.

Bulls look excellent at 50-1.

T-Wolves at 40-1 is not too bad.

I know he's a "restricted" F/A - but I'd ****LOVE**** to see Joe D. take a run @ Radmanovic ... Bonzi = potential chemistry problem...
