BBQ for 1,000 (Chopped Sandwiches and Chips)
Beer for 1,000 (yes 1,000 Texas State grads, numbers not being based off of normal schools) right now it's up to 12 KEGS being reported
DJ (yours truly) with 4-6 speakers set up
Vodka sponsor with tour bus.
We should have bartenders working in a huge tent with seating to accomodate everyone.
Bobcat Club and Alumni Association have combined forces this time and pooled all of their resources. They have been working with the BBQ company, getting the beer, and bartenders. So instead of having the Alumni Assoc have their separate tailgate that no one showed at, it was suggested we combine the efforts of the Bobcat Club, Alumni Association, and donors and try to make it one big party.
Everyone will check in. This is being done for two reasons. One, its an opportunity for us to get alumni who are out of the mix reivnolved. Once you check in you'll be given a wristband which will allow you all you can eat and drink. Keeps us from serving underage drinkers as well. There are two different wristbands. One color for current bobcat club members, and another for those who aren't. There will be computers ready to make the process easy for those looking to join, as well as, get updated contact information from those alumni who are disconnected from the University.
Dustin Hacker is one of the main gentlemen putting this together so if you see him be sure to thank him and others for taking the initiative to have this organized. We are blessed to have dedicated alumni like him.
