Tbh not to sound biased but the 2 Mavs/heat series were pretty good even questionable calls in the first series. 2010, 2008, 2012 were good as well.

2011 - Lots of drama, plus games 2-4 are absolute classics even if you hate both teams
2005 - Classic slugfest
2008 - Fun to see Kobe get his ass beat
2004 - See 2008
2006 - Solid series all around
2009 - Meh

So true, 2007 became a +1 for San Antonio's trophy case the minute Dallas was eliminated Amare left the bench.

Suns lose to Spurs in 7 even if Amar'e didn't get suspended. The 2007 Mavs would have stomped through every single playoff team except for GSW. It was a fitting end to the non-WWE entertainment NBA years. 2005-07 provided great basketball and left douche "stars" like Kobe, KG, Pierce on shitty teams.

That 07 team was staaaaacked and n!ggerball worked somehow. Rofl wasn't the game one starting lineup Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, Jason Richardson, Stephen Jackson, and Harrington?

Avery Johnson was too classy for niggball and that cost the Mavs the series.

irishock
09-08-2012, 01:30 PM
Doesn't matter who started for GSW. As long as it was Don Nelson on the sidelines, the Mavs weren't going to win. If Nelson was still part of the Mavs organization, GSW never becomes such a threat, Mavs win 70 games +NBA title.

Avery Johnson is too egotistical to be a decent coach. He's like a player trying to be a coach. Maybe he gets better, but I doubt it.

they ain't that good in reality imho, they just looked good on paper and won 67 games in the regular season but it doesn't mean shit if you can't figure out a way to overcome even the n!ggerball, let alone the spurs, and there was a reason why they broke up the 07 stacked team a few months later by trading harris & trashes for jason kidd imho. harris was in fact a terrible player and you never win championship with a starting PG like him, just b/c he makes parker struggle it doesn't mean he's a good player at all tbh

Basketball and competitive wise it's 2005. Two complete teams playing ball the right way, and no bullshit injuries or calls swaying the series.

Sarcasm? Anyways, 2011 was one of the best Finals of all time, all time because it was payback and sweet vindication(yes I quoted JET). The Mavs finally got what was stolen from them in 2006 and beat Wade, Lebron, Christina, and Stern and his zebras. All of the haters had to finally shut the fuck up. It was nice.

What was better at the 2007 finals than 2011?

2011 was one of the best, the game 2 comeback, Dirk's sick game. The offensive games 5 and 6 after 4 defensive minded games.

meh, Games 2-5 (and some of 6) were fiercely competitive and came down to a couple possessions. Poor individual performances aside, you gotta admit det's pretty good.

2005 had 2 competitive games.

Im just messing with yall, bro. Obviously 2011>2007, I do think its kind of homerish to consider it one of the best of all-time though since the two stars of the series werent great (especially the King).

"just messing"... :wakeup

But still, two star players not playing their best wasn't good but the series was really great. Close, exciting, down to the wire in games 2-4.

I see the Lakers 3peat Finals are excluded. . .they were all pretty terrible and against shitty teams. Only the 2000 one was any good.

Anyway, 2003, 2004, 2005 were all good imo. The NBA was very interesting during those seasons. A lot of competition and players changing teams.

2006 sucked ass. Couldn't stand seeing whistles dominate that series. I don't like the Mavs, but they got jewed by the refs bigtime in that series. I never like seeing that shit.

2007 I'll admit wasn't great since it was a sweep. But at least it was fun to see LeBron get completely locked down by Bruce Bowen. Jesus christ he got dominated. Bowen is sorely missed in SA.

2008 tbh I didn't bother watching. Was too upset about Spurs losing. So I couldn't say.

2009: Very mediocre.

2010: Strong series, was fun to watch despite Lakers winning. Some of the game were filled with terrible execution though, I don't give defense full credit when there's such bad offense present.

2011: Was all right. Probably mostly just good to Mavs fans and LeBron/Heat haters. I enjoyed seeing the Heat fail after that whole Dwayne Wade backstage scene where he was talking shit about Dirk being sick, then got smashed by Dirk the very next game and Wade choked.

2012: pretty shitty. The 'WWE finals' with one team clearly not belonging there. Worst of the lot imo. Got one flukey win with +9 in FTAs and Collison going berserk. Choked away rest of the series and looked like they were a 2nd round team. Especially the last game. . .who gives up 124 points in a closeout game in the Finals nowadays? :nope

So true, 2007 became a +1 for San Antonio's trophy case the minute Dallas was eliminated Amare left the bench.

Poor logic. You can't gift the Suns two wins over Amar'e's stupid ass decision. The Suns failed for the rest of the series when he was playing anyway, and the Spurs went on to take the title.

Spurs also historically beat the shit out of the Suns in the playoffs anyway, so there's literally no factual basis for assuming they'd have beaten the Spurs.

What next, gonna claim the Nash broken nose cost them the series too? Dude, Spurs have dealt with so many injuries over the years, you can't use injuries or missing a single game as a lame ass excuse. Spurs have 4 titles despite all that. Not 0 despite them. Suns just didn't get it done.
