Thoughts on this? What TV show do you still think would be good if you watched it in 50 years

You never knew from week to week where you'd end up. It had it all, drama, suspense, humor, the total package.

This was a popular TV show back in the mid 80s I think it could still be seen on TV today.

1998 was the last good year of the series; it has been basically unwatchable since.

I think since the early 2000s it's been average but nevertheless there was a long time where it was great

I agree that Simpsons episodes are timeless if they're from the first 9 or 10 seasons when the show was as thought-provoking as it was funny. If you would have asked me in 1998 I would have said the Simpsons is easily the most interesting show in the history of television. It almost seems like Groening put all his creative energy into Futurama (another outstanding show) instead once he got that contract. Maybe Greoning felt like he had tapped out the characters and decided to just ride out the money train as long as possible?
