While I think E and TLC's reality programming is some of the most useless shit on TV they both have at least one show that I do watch (The Soup and I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant), which I guess leaves MTV at the top of the list. The History Channel is quickly catching up to MTV as a channel whose content has absolutely nothing to do with its name. If they aren't showing reality shows its stupid shit about whether aliens build the Astrodome or some other bullshit.

I might very well get that. My capacity for channel surfing maxed out in the pre-digital age so there's big stretches of my channel directory that I've barely glanced at.

And The Soup is on Wednesdays, 10/9c. That show is the whole reason I'm aware of the existence of most of the shows that people are castigating TLC and MTV for like Toddlers, Honey Boo Boo, Jersey Shore, etc.

I used to watch MTV2 and MTV Hits. I had those on lock.

They didn't even show commercials on MTV Hits, just music videos 27/7. Now, you're lucky to see 2 videos back to back before they go to commercials.
