Tough call. Duncan is 54 pts behind Gervin for #1 in franchise history. Per my estimate, he needs to average at the very least .65 points a game this season. It won't be easily to do, as Duncan is nearing 37 and Pop will look to play him maybe 48 games a year, extending that number to at least 1.1 PPG.

He would probably still average more points then the Supersonics would average all season.

I don't think so. At 14 PPG and 75 games a season it would take Tim almost 4 years to pass Ice's mark of 26,595 points, while he only signed for 3.

He actually said Spurs franchise leader. Gervin only has 23,602 as a Spur (including ABA). That's a difference of 1044. That's less than 5 points a game over three years (@75 games).

Tim scoring 5ppg over 4 seasons? Would take guts from Popovich to let him do so.
