irrelevant. The Spurs are over the cap (even the new cap) and only have their excemptions. At least half the MLE will go to Scola. Rahim will be looking for the full MLE, at least. Plus he hated playing behind Randolph. Why would he sign with a team that would put him in the same situation if not further into the depth chart? Plus he's not known as a defensive presence.

In case anyone missed the finals, we need more offense. Not defense. Our scheme + Bowen and TD are always going to make us a formidable defense. We need someone who can knock down that mid range jumper with consistency. Abdur-Rahim would still be a perfect fit for this team but I agree we wont have the money to pay him.

p.s. AR plays more D than Big Dog and you saw what Pop had him doing on D (when he played)

If we can somehow move Rasho for a cheaper player, please god, we could bring in SAR. Thats the only way I see it happening though. I doubt anyone would give us back a cheaper player for Rasho and I doubt we could get SAR in a sign and trade for Rasho either. Its a long shot but stranger things have happened.

I think he would be a great fit. Nazr, Rasho, and to some extent Horry, are not very athletic. SAR woulda been great against DET's frontline. I think he will be a good fit if the Spurs can get him.

Rahim would have been great two years ago. texbum, that's an even worse idea than trading for Curry.

Hell no! Abdur-Rahim is one of the softest defenders in the league.
