LG has indeed shit the bed historically, well until the 4X which got pretty good reviews. I think they're making a serious push to catch up with Sammy and HTC.

They have made some good phones, specwise, but they have a horrible skin by all accounts.

From what I understand there are supposed to be a few nexii this year. I am thinking high end: Sammy, middle:HTC/Moto, low end:LG that would be great

I'm happy with just a phone. I got one of the first data phones almost 5 years ago, just because... I seldom use it, but it was always cool to use the GPS or internet when needed and away from a computer. The Behold II I had simply wore out. The charging jack got loose and it was tricky to get it to charge. I picked the galaxy II because I already had a data plan, and now I could watch Netflix at work.

Really though, if I ever needed to reduce my costs, I could do with just a plain cell phone.

My Galaxy S Epic 4g that I've had for less than 2 years feels real old now. But it still does pretty much everything I want it to do. I still love the 5 row qwerty keyboard. I want a better camera and hdmi out but its not enough to justify upgrading.

At some point the software needs to catch up with the hardware. They are pumping these things out so quickly, that when people see a GS4, they won't see a big difference in performance, just like with the iPhone 5.

Sure the 5 blasts through benchmarks, and it's a bit zippier by all accounts, but we need to start getting super cool shit that can really push these bitches.
