Rand Paul stands alone in Iran Resolutions! 90-1

Rand Paul continues to stand for Liberty. Refuses to vote yes to allow the US "to do anything possible to stop Iran from getting a nuke". Hopefully we'll be sending you a few reinforcements next year!

True words and probably the most important words spoken this election season, but they will go ignored by the stupid American public, it's politicians, and corrupt media. Because arguing red/blue talking points are more important than the real truth. They hate us for what we do to them, not our freedom.

because disarming iran, going to war = profit

i still dont see any fkn profit from the US govt besides the stakeholder businesses who sells the guns and shit to the govt to go fight its war...if there was a profit, wouldnt the NFD be decreasing....?

It was a non-binding resolution that specifically stated at the conclusion how it was not consent for an act of aggression or war. In my mind that makes it entirely pointless, but Paul felt he needed to register his objection regardless. Not sure what Paul-ites are pissed about tbh.

And FWIW, this vote and his effort to pull federal aid to Pakistan et al (soundly defeated) got covered. So, even if the top story was about the short session, Rand still got his airtime.

"The nonbinding measure says it should not be construed as an authorization for the use of military force or a declaration of war."

ok, then what exactly is the plan?

I like some of the guys stances a lot, but seriously, he should have NEVER endorsed Romney.

Rand made a very smart move to endorse Romney. Ron Paul lost because he failed to endorse McCain.

U.S. Envoy: Preparations Made For Attacking Iran

http://readersupportednews.org/images/stories/alphabet/rsn-I.jpgn an interview today with the Times of Israel (http://www.timesofisrael.com/necessary-preparations-made-for-use-of-force-if-needed-against-iran-us-ambassador-says/), US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro denied any disagreements between the US and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the prospect of war with Iran, insisting the two are "totally in sync."

Shapiro, who recently got into a shouting match (http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/09/intelligence-committee-chair-describes-explosive-confrontation-between-netanyahu-and-american-ambassador/262056/) with Netanyahu in front of a Congressional delegation, insisted that the US has made all the "necessary preparations" for attacking Iran, and believes they have coordinated well with Israel.

Netanyahu has been publicly lashing the US for not having attacked Iran already, and has been loudly demanding "red lines" that would guarantee a US attack on Iran at a certain stage of development of that nation's
civilian nuclear program.

Shapiro insisted there were "no tangible differences" between the US position and Netanyahu's, but with the Israeli PM seemingly having been all set to start a war in the next month, and much made of the US effort (http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/09/04/dempseys-dissent/) to talk him down, the split is simply too obvious for these denials to be credible.
