So about 3 weeks ago (or less than that even, but cbf to look at my scottrade now) I bought 500 dollars worth of Nexxus Lighting stocks (NEXS) for 12 cents each. Two days later, they were up at 18, I went to class having put an order in to sell them at .20, I get to my class (30 mins or so) and its up to 30 cents already...by the time my class finished, it was up at .44...so I was already regretting it by then. Two weeks later, it was up to 1.04 at its highest point :lol

Should I be happy that I made ~$300 in a couple days of literally doing nothing..? Because right now, all I can think is "what coulda been :(".

Thats ideal, but I figured fuck, it almost doubled in price when I sold it :lol.

Learned from my mistake and made 600 on mei pharmaceuticals when it went from .36 to 70 over the course of a week

Newest gamble is oncosec :lmao

You buy and sell. If you are in it for the short gain, you won. You could have made more but you could have lost as well. Either way you weren't going to be rich.

I'm still watching gold tbh.

I called my stockbroker about buying Dell Computer at $5 and let him talk me out of it. It went to $50 in 3 years.

9 shares?:wow

Over the course of the last few weeks I've made 900 for doing nothing, but that could have been so much more :(

CC, that sucks lol

DMC that's true, I don't really have the patience for long term trading lol...

You owe $135 in capital gains taxes. Be sure to pay or we'll have to pay you a visit. :)

there's always going to be these regrets, you can't always time it at it's peak if you're day trading. any time you make a profit you're doing good.

Shit happens in the stock market. The only people who should beat them selves up over it are those who keep losing in it. Be glad for all your wins, even if they were smaller than they could have been.

seems to me the stock index has been plummeting all the time, and you're lucky to even make a profit in the slack economy tbh.

He needs to report it as income, not capital gains.

Reported as short-term capital gains which are taxed as regular income.

:lmao lacking a higher level understanding of the circumcision debate

you really can't comprende whottt you lost that fateful day or grasp the moral and ethical implications. you don't know what your life would be like had you never been mutilated, that's the difference. you're happily ignorant, we get that.
