sons I just call it like I see it. Do I think LSU is still easily one of the top 5-10 best teams in the country at this point in the season? yes ... but just like USC, they are definitely not deserving of the current #3 ranking.

- they squeaked past a God awful Auburn team last week (which was a decent test for them, but still embarrassing considering Auburn needed a missed field goal and overtime in order to beat UL Monroe the week before)

- they are currently struggling and losing against TOWSON HIGH SCHOOL (2 fumbles already by QB)

the only shining light is that they did beat the shit out of Washington who just beat Stanford. however this is the typical Les Miles coached football team ... rely on the defense and special teams to bail you out every time. now I think it is obvious that LSU will eventually put this team away, but the simple fact that it will likely be a 1 score game at halftime is pathetic.

Son... if Jordan Jefferson were quarterbacking, LSU would be wrecking shop.

Ehh LSU just playing down to their opponent. Not sure if they are the 3rd best team in the nation but they are still up there.

Les Miles deserves the aids that JJ probably gave him.

Towson did a damn good job. they got paid 500k to come here to play and dropped 22 points on LSU. regardless of how LSU fans want to try and spin it, this was yet another embarrassing game for them. they should have put this game away by halftime, scored at least 50 points, and definitely shouldn't have given up more than one score.

LSU is still in the top 5, but its hard to argue them being ranked any higher than #4 until they prove themselves against a legit team and they will have their chance next week against Florida.

What do you think about our matchup this year BR? You think we have a shot against you guys at home?

Sons if LSU got a real coach they'd be the best team in the country. God bless.

son personally I think (like last season) that LSU has enough talent on their team to run the table and win every single game this season IF they were well coached. Now even though the the first 5 games of the season were much easier teams than usual (no one expected Auburn to be this bad) ... their next 5 games will all be tough and legit challenges...

@ #11 Florida
vs #6 South Carolina
@ Texas A&M
vs #1 Alabama
vs #21 Mississippi State

I think the Texas A&M game will be the easiest of the 5 (no offense) with South Carolina being a close second. I think the game will likely be close by the second half, but LSU at home will run away with it by a few scores. Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi State (who is a much better team than some are giving credit for) will be the toughest games for LSU this season. South Carolina is always ranked, but never a legit threat as they always find a way to self destruct and Texas A&M just isn't there yet.

That's a hell of a stretch.

I agree that A&M is prob the weakest opponent out of those teams. However, if LSU happens to beat Florida and South Carolina, that could set up a kind of trap game for LSU if they look past A&M and ahead to Alabama.

well A&M definitely belongs in the top 25 now after stomping out Arkansas the way they did. I mean the only loss they have was by a field goal against a damn good Florida team.

IF LSU continues to win the next two games over a current #11 and #6 team then they will likely be ranked #2 by the time they play A&M ... AND ... if A&M wins out to play LSU they will likely be ranked around the #20 area setting up a #2 LSU vs #20ish A&M ... COULD be a huge upset opportunity for A&M.

I don't see LSU winning at Florida.
