As good as the crowd was in game 7, it’s almost embarrassing. Where has the crowd been? Have Spurs fan been so subdued that when we bring it, it actually surprises the players and coaches?
They have commented at every opportunity how the fans in game 7 helped them win and gave them the energy to pull it out. Pop said it on the Pop show; the players said it during the parade; they said it again during the dome celebration; and, they say it in every interview.
The city now knows we can do it; they players now know we can do it; the coaches now know we can do it. There is no excuse not to bring it from now on. We saw our value to the team in game 7. We saw how we can directly affect a championship. There are no excuses from now on… if we don’t bring it, we don’t deserve the championship. The way we call the players out after bad games is the same way spurs fan needs to be called out after home games where we slept. We can’t let the fans of the golf masters bring more noise than us.
