As part of its recently announced merger with T-Mobile USA, MetroPCS will be moving customers off its current CDMA network by 2015, the company says. In a call, the companies said that T-Mobile's GSM network would provide 3G service for MetroPCS subscribers, while the CDMA spectrum would be repurposed to expand 4G LTE. "At the date the deal closes," investors were told, "we will have an array of GSM, HSPA+, and LTE devices available for MetroPCS customers to purchase." Previously, MetroPCS had considered signing roaming partnerships with GSM carriers, using Voice over LTE to make the switch.

There is a greater and greater chance that I am moving to t-mobile when my contract runs out.

I don't get any special breaks either, but consider this.

Their promotional deals appear to be the same pricing as any discounts they give out to corporations.

I get 20% off my 4 line family plan, that is reason enough for me to stay put for the next year or two.

I am looking at the 60 buck a month prepaid plan. That is 60 bucks flat. No extra fees or taxes. Shit, if they keep metropcs pricing they have a 50 buck unlimited plan

I changed my plan recently to $100 for the unlimited talk/text two lines on the family plan. My three extra lines cost me $10 each but only have 500 anytime minutes, free weekend, night, cell to cell. Of the five lines, four have data plans. Mine is unlimited High Speed grandfathered for $20. Two of them are 5GB for $30, and the fourth is 2GB for $20. Total cost is $180 +tax. Comes to just over $200 with a periodic 411 call, and periodic international calls.

Mine is just about the same.
