I'll be in the D.C. area for business next week and will likely have at least a full day to check out the city. Any recommendations of what things I should see in a relatively short time there?

Check if you're gonna be available for a White House or Pentagon Tour.

DC is such a wonderful place for tourists in daytime and there're many places of interest there you can't miss out on, just don't go out at night tbh

Depends on what you like/what your scene is. Nightlife wise, there's some bars in Georgetown that are fun, but it's a yuppie area. Check out Old Glory if you make it to GTown, though. Club Five used to be great, but it's in a bad area and has gotten a lot darker inside the last 8 years. Check out the 9:30 club online and see if any good acts are gonna be there while you're in town. Adam's Morgan and the Dupont area are nice too.

Touristy stuff, check out the Newseum and the Holocaust Museum.

Stay away from Anacostia.

Are you planning to make a biological weapon? You know, since you work for a drug company.

Are you trying to get SpurTalk flagged by Homeland InSecurity?

I went when I was little and I remember this really cool museum about airplanes. They also had some of the NASA stuff too. I'd like to go back and find it someday.

Best advice :
Get a rental car
Drive to York , Pa and play in some of the best little hilly golf courses
Go north of York and find Hershy , Pa you will find some good chocolate in the usa
Come back to The District and catch first flight out of that burg

Is this Country Great or What
