Help with trophy pictures

I need as many pictures of the LOB trophy as I can get my hands on. Here's the rub I need pics of the trophy alone from many different angles. Possibly hi-res :)

I'm trying to build a 3D model and the shape is driving me crazy the trophy looks very simetrical - but really isn't.

So if you know of such pictures please post them here (or the link to them).

Size is less important than the fact I need pics of it that are unobstructed (ie pics of players holding it without wrapin their arms around it).

The more I look at it the more I realize how complex the shape is. Big props to the author to make it look so simple while it's really quite sophisticated.

This might be stating the obvious or a huge pain in the ass depending on what software you're using, but I would try to build just the base and pedastal first, since they are symetrical. Then model the ball on its own, since it would be symmetrical too. Then combine the two models.

There are 3 parts to the trophy:

The base - that's easy it's an extruded rectangle

The Ball - that's also easy it's a sphere. The only complicated thing are the black lines taht are also sunken into the sphere itself. But I've done taht a long time ago so I can use that.

The basket - that's the part that baffles me. Not so much from a modelling point of view but understanding the shape. The ball on top is regulation size (I found this info on the web) so it is safe to presume that the basket circumference is too (it would look odd if it wasn't). Now two bing chunks have been "bitten off" at the back leaving roughly onre third of the rim intact. Those missing pieces also create the impression that the basket is leaning to one side. Another problem is also to understand the orientation of the basket on the base if viewed from above. It all comes from the fact that the basket looks symetrical but really isn't.

Yeah, that's my impression as well... it's not round. Will look and see if I can find any good pics to help you (seeing as how your voodoo dolls helped the Spurs win the championship and all). :)

Okay, I can't get the mysa.com pics to show up here, but if you go to mysa.com and look through the finals slideshow, there are quite a few pics of the guys holding the trophy from different angles. They're not good "clean" shots (their fingers are in the way) but it might help you figure out the shape.

There's a few shots that you published that I haven't seen before and some of those are really helpful!

I think I now know how the trophy looks like, except for a small detail. There's a net design/engraving on the face of the "basket", what's engraved on the the sides that have been "bitten off"? On most pics they look smooth.

NBA Live 2004 has a 3D model of the trophy. When you win the title David Stern comes out and hands it to your center. I never checked to see how accurate it is though.
