For years this dude got so much undeserved love that I felt like making this thread to bring a little justice and balance to the universe and call this cheating piece of shit for what he is: a cheating piece of shit.

Yeah, I know he isn't the only cyclist/sportmen to have cheated but he is the only one to get away with it in such bullshit and glorified fashion. He exemplifies what I hate most in life: people with power getting away with things that your average Joe's can't, two-face rats playing with the people around them. So for that I say fuck this dirty piece of shit called Lance Armstrong :toast

For this not to be just a bitter rant I leave this article that I'm sure many of you have already read:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/11/sports/cycling/agency-details-doping-case-against-lance-armstrong.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

The United States Anti-Doping Agency said Wednesday that Lance Armstrong was at the center of the most sophisticated and professional doping program in recent sports history and that it would soon release details of its findings. [...]

it always baffled me how a guy named "armstrong" could win so many biking championships, shit would've been more credible if his name was legstrong tbh

the most sophisticated and professional

How's that for some superlatives? Slack ass Euro amateurs always getting caught in the act. As usual it takes an American to take it to the next level. USA! USA! USA!

This will definitely become a major motion picture in the future. It has all of the tenants:
Rise to Glory
Massive success in their respective field. Peerless really.
Face of the Sport
Face of Cancer
Face of Nike
Doping allegations
Married to Cheryl Crow
Scandals
Cancer survivor......

There is so much intrigue and I don't even follow this dude....

It was obvious all along that he was a cheater. The only shred of sympathy I feel for his demise is that bicycling or whatever it's called is filled with cheaters. You literally don't win if you don't cheat.

But I thought the way he went out was extremely lame. At least continue with your lie until the bitter end. Don't pull the rip cord right when the story is getting good.

Easily the biggest cheater in the history of sports, and it was obvious all along.

ROFL Lance and Maradona share so much in common - their history of substance abuse and their blatant cheating to win world titles. Two peas in a pod imho.

He could have salvaged some of his image if he simply said "fuck it, yeah I doped, but so does everyone else in this sport, so it's really not cheating at all".

Lance Armstrong plans to admit to doping throughout his career during an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, USA Today reported late Friday. The interview, scheduled to be taped Monday and broadcast Thursday night on the Oprah Winfrey Network, will be conducted at Armstrong's home in Austin.

Citing an anonymous source, USA Today reported that the disgraced cyclist plans to admit to using performance-enhancing drugs but likely will not get into details of the allegations outlined in a 2012 report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that led to Armstrong being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life from the sport...

Can this finally be the end of people defending the guy?

He's admitting to it right now in the Oprah interview. Says the last time he doped was 2005, but he didn't dope for the 2009 or 2010 tours de france despite evidence to the contrary.

Still a hero in my book. He had to cheat and destroy others career to start Livestrong, and even though you could say that he used it for PR matters, millions of people have benefited from the presence of Livestrong. Douche, but I have respect for him.

ploto

He still claims he did it to level the playing field and that he did not gain an unfair advantage. No real ownership.

It makes no sense to claim he did not dope in his comeback. Why would he finally be admitting it unless those samples really do prove his blood doping. He even said that were it not for his comeback that he would not be sitting there with Oprah admitting it.

Many people start many wonderful charities without destroying the lives of other people.

And so you won't think of the cancer patients whose lives have improved in one way or another? Did Lance kill to start his charity?

I will think of the people whose lives he destroyed. As I said above, for me this has never been about the cheating but about what he did to anyone who dared to tell the truth about him. He is not sorry for what he did. He has no remorse.

:cry Such a great fucking example :cry

I remember when I used to argue with folks back in the day that got mad when I said that it was obvious that Armstrong was doping, they're nowhere to be found now.
