Tigers have a big advantage in starting pitching and both are equally as bad with their 'pens

Probably Tigers in 6. Yanks bats are starting to tire off right now, while Fielder and Cabrera are looking to get hot.

Agree on pitching.

Not so much on the lineup.

Cano, Swisher, Granderson, Rodriguez didn't do squat on the Orioles series.

Wouldn't count on them shitting the bed as badly against the Tigers.

Yanks in 6 if the Yanks bench Arod for the series. If Arod plays, Tigers in 6.

Sup Deandre? I am going to her pad. Summer and Katie are going to be there, so you should go. Jerry and Sam are down.

First blown call by the Umpire in this series.

Tigers in 6.. Yankees were very unimpressive vs the Orioles.. all depends on which bats turn up because both pitching is pretty reasonable as far as I know

Did I not say the Yankees weren't going to make a deep playoff run?

The only reason they wont get swept on this series will be because of CC.

I'm sorry but I'm done with Leyland. 17 scoreless innings between Valverde appearances, you can't make this shit up.

The saddest part is, the Yankees don't even look like they have the energy in them to win 4 out of 7. Leyland is doing everything he can to make sure the Tigers lose this series.

LMAO, Tigers blow a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th but still win the game in the 12th. Extremely lucky. The phrase "one more" needs to be banned from the English language and you should have to pay a fine of 100 dollars if you say those words during a pivotal part of a baseball game.

Fuck off, the Tigers as a team didn't blow it. It was Valverde and only Valverde. Delmon, AJax, and the entire bullpen minus #46 (even fucking Phil Coke) played their asses off.

What's wrong with saying that the Tigers got lucky in game 1? Just think about it for a minute. They were playing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. It's October baseball and the Tigers were up 4-0 and the wheels came off in the bottom of the 9th and the score was tied 4-4 going into extra innings. The Yankees usually win games like that. That's all I was saying. I was shocked that the Tigers recovered and still won game 1.

I am in VA and I saw fans saying this last night alot for the Nats.. I would have to say to you I agree 100% on end here, like in the NBA get a stop or one more stop when your team doesn't play D lol, you know it's bound to fail you and the other team will just blow through it .

Sons the Yankees are so badly outmatch is not even funny.

Each batter is getting 3 or less pitches at bat.

irishock

Both teams bats don't look good tonight. It's got to be fatigue from last night's 12 inning game. Let's see which bullpen screws up less now.

Phil Coke is our new closer. Matches up best against the Yanks now that Jeter is done. Cabrera shows up for the first time this postseason, Fielder needs a bomb and pitching is ridiculously good.

Why is it a must-win for the Tigers?

Yankees is the team that needs game 3 badly.

Jacob1983
10-14-2012, 11:05 PM
Because the Tigers have a chance to put the Yankees away if they win game 3. Okay, the series wouldn't be over but you know the odds. Only one team has come back from 0-3 in a best of 7 in baseball.

Totally different scenario in that series.

The Yankees as they are right now couldn't come back from down 1 game let alone 3. lol

Either way, after this if the Yankees somehow pull off a miracle and force Game 7 they'll face a rested Verlander again.

It's over.

I was thinking the same thing. Unless he commits to dropping 30-40 lbs to go back into LF, he's a goner. There's no place in the lineup for him. It's a shame he's let himself get so heavy and immobile at only 27 YO.

Minus the cocky tone to this post, I tend to agree. The NL teams do not struggle to score runs, unlike the AL teams. Back in 2006 I had no respect for the NL, more ignorance than being dismissive, but now I pay more attention. The Cards and Giants both score runs off good/great pitching. The Tigers literally have nothing beyond their outstanding pitching. If that falters, even slightly, they wont win the WS.
