The Cards are a better hitting team

Starting pitching goes to the Giants

Slight advantage for Giants in the pen

Slight advantage for Cards defensively

Manager goes to Giants, although I hold Matheny in very high regard. He closed his career out with SF and helped to develop Cain, Lincecum and others. Knows the Giants staff quite well. Could be an advantage

JMO... Adds up to a close series

After last nights win, no way the Cards fail to repeat. I hated them for beating the Phillies, but that hate died when they broke the Rangers hearts like they did to the Nationals last night. This team is just too good, too talented, too resilient to be beaten 4 times. No one else is good enough to eliminate them. Mark this down, last night's dramatic game 5 win sealed a repeat for the St. Louis Cardinals. What a team. :lol@Pujols.

eh, the Giants comeback was more impressive. 3 in a row on the road is unprecedented

regardless, I'd be shocked if this goes any less than 6

I just went for them because I was given their hat. I knew nothing about winners etc. Gotta start somewhere but it's clear you're just pissed about something that's happened because luck does not factor in their wins to any significant extent or at all

Maybe it made the Cards more dimensional since they didn't have him to rely on, hard to say.

The Freak pitching worries me. Giants pitching certainly better than batting, it was very poor today

Lincecum is a shell of his former self, although he's been solid in relief. Look for lots of changeups since he's lost velocity on his fastball and has trouble locating it.

He's been historically good in this series. Something about most multi-hit games in a championship series (think thats what I heard)

Son with my team in aussie rules football, I am so used to losing that I just always assume it to happen so rarely disheartened by a loss.

Sorry :lol

Lohse is a FA and Carpenter has to be a question mark. If they can figure out their rotation they'll be fine. Matheny is an excellent manager and will get the most out of those guys.

I suppose to some extent it's a choke job, but it was also a helluva season for a respectable team :tu

Well lets hope :lol not too bad for first year manager and some key injuries. No excuses though, they lost to the better team. Good comeback

No repeat for the Cardinals.

That is not always true, as we see now.
