After an impressive debut against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, Lillard struggled for much of the game against the Suns. He couldn’t hit his jumper, he couldn’t generate enough pick-and-roll chances, particularly with LaMarcus Aldridge, and the Blazers were inconsistent throughout. Lillard didn’t make his first field goal until midway through the third quarter and when he was pulled shortly before the fourth, this was his statistical line: four points, five assists, zero rebounds and three turnovers on 1-of-7 shooting.
