Like I said in the SEC thread, I still think USCe is too inconsistent to win out...Plus, it's in Baton Rouge, one of the hardest places to win on the road in college football

I'll take LSU

I have a good feeling about LSU as well at home. It will be close. LSU has to run the football early and often. Also do some play-action of first down. Give Mett some easy passes to throw.

This figures to be a low scoring affair. I'm salivating to watch 3 of the best defensive ends in the country on the field at the same time (Mingo,Montgomery,Clowney)

Should be chippy and incredibly physical

sons I agree with the OP about South Carolina. although they did prove a lot of people wrong last week with Georgia, but I can just never buy into South Carolina being a legit title threat. even as awful as our offense has been, the defense has been solid.

LSU - 24
Cocks - 17

Jesus Christ Miles ... you were doing great mixing the plays up and marched all the way down the field. then you run the ball 3 straight times up the middle as EVERYONE expected ... then took a timeout only to run the ball up the middle again and get stopped at the goal line and now we're forced to go for it on 4th and goal.

You're probably thinking of that Garcia guy who was at USCe for 5 years (seemed like 50). But yeah, I would agree that overall, QB has been lackluster for the Cocks in recent memory. Bizarre considering who coaches them and what the ole' ball coach did at Florida

Idk why they can't recruit a good one. They always have a beast offensive line, the defense makes it easy for a QB to win, and they've had great talent at receiver come through their program. It seems like it should be an easy sell.

The 2010 LSU team still strikes me as an epic waste of talent. Toliver, Randle, and Shepard was a great group of receivers with Ridley at RB and great O-line. Any QB not named Jordan Jefferson woulda made them a productive offense.

sons its not an issue of QB's or players. its Miles plain and simple. he needs to let his offensive coordinator control the entire offensive game. Miles overrides way too many of his decisions. when it comes down to it ... Miles is a brilliant businessman. he knows how to put good people around him to make him look good. but when it comes down to play calling and making split decisions on the field, he is very below average.

That's fair, but I still really like Miles despite his shortcomings (offensively). It's so fucking hard to achieve the level of consistency he has, and really nobody outside of Saban has done it in the last 5 years. I hear ya, it's just very difficult to not appreciate a guy like miles when you're watching Cheezit squander top 10 talent. It's also easy for Miles to stay pretty good when the only recruiting he has to do is go to every local high school in Louisiana with a sack of bananas having the players fight for them and then recruiting whichever chimps come away with the most bananas knowing that LSU is their first choice.
