So when I watch debates I expect information to be inaccurate or somewhat misleading. Two things that stood out to me were Biden's comments that he did not vote for the Iraq or Afghanistan Wars and that we would be out of Afghanistan in 2014 period.

This shows that he voted for both wars. I am not sure why none of the big fact checks called this one.

Now it looks like there is a good chance that USA troops will be in Afghanistan post 2014.

I know its the VP debate and few people really care what was said. I know both candidates were misleading in their positions. But the first comment was a blatent lie and the second one is now contradicting the VP less than one week later. Obviously the bilateral security agreement is still being negotiated and who knows what it will ultimately say, but I thought it was an odd thing for Biden to say in the debate. It almost never pays off to look at the camera and make direct promises. Bush I taught us this.

"I am not sure why none of the big fact checks called this one."

these lies aren't new. a lot of people caught them.

but 2014 thingy could be the "combat troops out", with advisors, trainers, etc staying forever.
