Fuck that. It's not that I really care about the handshakes one way or another I just wanted to see how many more seasons it would take before some team put together a full scale Bollywood style dance number as their pregame routine. My bet was 3.

If they are worried about ending games on time, they should crack down on the bogus fouls called by the refs to cover spreads.

Preemptive strike against monkeyball tbh. It's becoming the damn Globetrotters out there. Shake hands in the locker room, no one pays to see your stupid ass antics.

Meeting

Stern: Ok refs, stop giving the bogus foul calls to cover the spread.

Delaying the game a whole *gasp* five minutes!?!? :wow

Honestly, that time probably helps the stragglers who are late tuning in, or getting from the concession stands to their seats.

If you are on a committee assembled with the purpose of dealing with games that go over the time windows, you look for low hanging fruit (no not their balls). These things are the first to be dealt with because they don't require negotiations ergo no lawyers fees. Just make it so. Just like that they can say they saved at least 5 minutes a game. When your team's game is starting on the same network and it's being delayed because Durant or Lebron is doing a Broadway number at center court, you'll be thankful something is being done about it, Besides, it's always a money issue. It costs money for every second.

A min and max will be a claim on the next collective bargaining. Each shake, dance or roll will add a $ to your cap hold. And think outside the square for a moment, this could become the main part of the All Star weekend. Picture guys jumping over cars or doing two shakes at once in mid air.
