if Miami stop winnin n Howard sticks around while bein a top c, it possible. what mo likely is that he attract another superstar when wade retire or take on lesser role. i see players like Irving, wbrook, or a rising youngling makin his way to Miami cuz Lebron wanna new sidekick

Son, all this player movement these days has a lot to do with agent influence, tbh... and LeBron just switched agents this summer to Rich Paul... and guess who's another Rich Paul client? ERIC BLEDSOE... also, even though he isn't a client, Rich Paul is apparently close friends with CP3....

I won't be surprised if Lebron goes to the Lakers. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Lebron and Howard play there at the same time, and CP3 as well tbh. It's a business and if that team pulls in the most money with those players, and with profit sharing amongst the teams, you bet it's going to happen.

No, planning for the future. But whether LBJ comes to LA or not doesn't really matter. The fact is we'll have a superstar (Howard) to build around, a ton of cap room, and deep pockets to spend on FAs. Remember, unless we have a clear cut #1 overall pick, LA doesn't build through the draft. They let other teams go through a player's growing pains. Then when he is disgruntled, outplays their ability to afford to retain him, or decides to ring chase: he comes to LA.

Just for the sake of argument, how many think LeBron really wouldn't bolt Miami? I do. Why? Who gives him the best chance to win - playing alongside Howard or a 32 or 33 year old broken down Wade? LeBron is no fool, so for those of you who say "Miami has his Bird rights and can pay him more" I remind you that so did Cleveland. So he took a paycut to collude. Plus I guarantee you he can make up the difference in endorsements (LA is the 2nd biggest media market in America BTW).

Anway, like I said, if LeBron were to come to LA, good. If he doesn't, good. How many rings did the Lakers win without Jordan during the '80s? How many did the Lakers win without LeBron since 2003? Exactly. In other words we don't need LeBron like other teams might. Needless to say either way, Lakers will be set in 2014 and beyond. Just like they always are.

That's what people thought about 0-12 Pau. Like Pau before him, Kobe will teach him. Besides, he's playing with a much better supporting cast. He doesn't have the burden of carrying a franchise. All he has to do is play his game. The pressure is on Kobe and Nash. Kobe to catch MJ and Nash to get his first rang. Both are in the twilight of their careers. Howard, not so much, but he can learn how to win now. Kobe already said he'll teach him and Dwight said he's willing to learn.

Lebron wants to beat the Lakers

Are you sure? He didn't want to beat Wade/Bosh/Heat. I wouldn't put anything past LBJ anymore. Honor and pride don't seem to be strong traits for LeBron. He seems more like an "any means neccessary" kind of person, even if it means doing unmanly things like going to Miami.

The only reason I could see him not going to LA is because LA won't be that great in a few years. Nash, Kobe, Gasol, and Artest will either be gone or old as fuck by then that it won't be the best team he could go to anymore. Certainly not for any forseeable future after he could potentially sign with them. LA's set up to be good for basically 2 years.

Where are you going with this?

I am presuming that Kobe will not play beyond his current deal (based on his recent comments and all of those NBA miles he has). If he doesn't sign another deal, which is very likely if he catches/passes MJ, we will only have Howard (presumably) and Nash (expiring) on the books.

If Dr. Buss is willing to break the bank in 2012 ($100M), I would presume that he'd be willing to do the same in 2014. The $5B TWC deal will offset the mega luxury taxes and ensure the Lakers have the necessary players to put around Howard to compete for more rings.

The new CBA doesn't do anything to prevent teams stacking the deck if they have the money to do it, so really, the CBA wipes Mitch's ass for him and asks if he'd like it to open the door for him on the way out.

99 Problems
10-20-2012, 04:31 AM
Been pondering this for a while. It will become clearer post this season when we see what CP3 does. If he stays at Clips with Blake then the Le Bron dream becomes a real possibility. It means 3 monster contract, big lux tax to fund rest of the roster and the birth of a super team. All that flows, flows, big sponsor deals etc, that off sets lux tax concerns. Clips probably win a ring or two. L.A landscape changes for ever, Le Bron becomes the face of L.A sport for the next 50 years.
