View Full Version : Best City Skyline?

I'm biased, but Miami does it for me. Almost everyday I drive by downtown on I-95 and the city just oozes suavete and sexiness. The view from Key Biscayne/Rickenbacker Causeway is nice too. From Brickell to Downtown it's just a really sleek looking city. Internationally--I've never seen it, but Dubai looks incredible. This pic is too small and doesn't do it justice, but whatevs...

I'd love to see Hong Kong with my own eyes, from pictures it looks incredible. New York's is nice but almost boring because we see so much of it in movies and TV. I'm partial but I also think Dallas has a good one.

Yeah, too much as well--a skyline shouldn't be by scale of buildings or common theme, but one of variety and grandeur and a sense of balance with the natural setting it is built upon.

Seoul and Tokyo are impressive for sheer size, but good luck finding a clear, non-smoggy day to see them. Much better seen at night. Two biggest/most impressive I've seen with my own two eyes. Probably aren't the most picturesque in Asia, though. Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur look a lot better judging from pictures

Denver has a nice skyline when you can actually see the mountains. Lately there's been so much residual smog and smoke from the fires that, if you didn't already know it, you'd never guess there were mountains out there.

Yeah, Seattle is definitely the best in the nation. I love the view of San Francisco's skyline from the Golden Gate when there's lots of low fog and you can see the skyscrapers peeking out of the top.

Of the places I've seen in person, San Francisco is the easy answer. Gorgeous from every angle and in every type of weather.

New York City is great, but only from certain angles. It will always get points for having the art deco fabulousness of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, though.
