By the way, if anyone has updates to this list, feel free to speak up and I'll change accordingly.

This was the best info I could find.

I believe Richardson and Murphy were extended by Mullin.

I can't pretend to know why, though.

LA Clippers 28.7 million

This is ridiculous, the Clippers are to the NBA what Tampa Bay is to MLB, if the owners show no desire to put a winning team on the floor and only seek to make money, then the fans do not need to go watch this horrible product, and they should not buy a ticket

We laugh at New York, but at least they are trying to spend money to get a winner on the floor, even if they suck at doing it, it is still better than owners like Sterling who are just fucking over their fans.

You have NJ wrong too, AHF. I know they are over the cap because they have the MLE.

Granted they (NY) will be cutting back a little when they cut Houston.

Don't cuts or waivers still count against the CAP. I know the new provision, but I believe that is only in reguards to the Luxery Tax, not the CAP.

By my understanding, Houston gets cut, his salary still counts against the CAP, but when the tax comes into play, his 18 million will not count against them.

I could be wrong.

I think that the provision that allows teams to cut players with huge contracts this year works like the following, but could be wrong.

Houston gets cut, still makes $18 million for the upcoming season, but his salary does not count towards the teams cap. But as I said, I could be wrong.

You have to remember that they were trying to sign Kobe last season.

i believe it still counts towards the cap, just not the luxury tax. or something like that. but the jist of it is, team owners can cut a lot of costs by using that one time waiver, however, they gain no salary cap flexibility by doing so. So the knicks is still screwed.

Yeah, that's a good point, their cap hit won't change. So nevermind on Houston, wasn't really putting that much though into things on that one.
