Not necessarily who deserves it, but who the likely candidates are.

1. Matt Ryan
2. A.J. Green
3. Peyton Manning
4. Aaron Rodgers
5. RG3

honorable mentions:

AP
JJ Watt
Eli

Drew Brees and Ray Lewis are worth more to their teams than any other two players, imo

Of course, that's not what you asked.

your list looks fair...Maybe throw Arian Foster on so the best team in the AFC has their most consistent player represented

I think JJ Watt should be higher than honorable mention. Eli should be on that list too imo.

Edited Eli in right before that post:lol

Watt should be higher, but he won't realistically get it...he's all but won DPOY though.

If the skins have somehow have a winning record then it migh be RG3. He's definitely leading in offense rookie of the year so far though. It'll be tough, they have the steelers, panthers, browns, Baltimore, and then the divisional games

Luck's team has a better record than RG3's team with a worse supporting cast tbh

:lol not rg3 fault his defense sucks

They've had the lead in every single game this year except the Bengal game where they were tied. Shit d fails him.

I'd take da Skeens' D over the Colts' D without question.

Seriously though...DD's list looks about right. Watt would have to go into serious god mode to get considered. It's been over a quarter of a century since a defensive player won it(Lawrence Taylor).

Thats why I threw Foster in. He has a better chance than Watt, imo

Son, the glare from Luck's bright albino skin must be blinding you to how bad Washington's secondary is...

I watch the worst secondary in the NFL every Sunday, so chances are Washington's secondary isn't gonna stand out to me as bad when I watch them :lol

Get to watch the Lions every Sunday huh? That's cool.

Patriots' secondary would get torched for 30+ points by Cutler, Marshall & Co. No fuckin way the Patriots' secondary would only allow Cutler 150 passing yards.

This is also I guess just personal bias, but the amount of early picks New England has used in the secondary in recent years:

2007 - Meriweather (24th overall)
2008 - Wheatley (62nd overall)
2009 - Chung (34th overall)
2009 - Butler (41st overall)
2010 - McCourty (27th overall)
2011 - Dowling (33rd overall)
2012 - Wilson (48th overall)

Makes their secondary that much worse. New England's secondary being such an abortion wouldn't be quite as irritating if it wasn't an abortion in spite of 7 picks in the first 2 rounds since 2007 used on defensive backs, 3 of which have been cut already.

I don't think any impartial observer would say there's a secondary worse than New England if they watched the games. They just made Sanchez and Wilson look like Joe Montana and John Elway in back to back weeks.

We should just wait until Baltimore drafts a secondary player, and then try to trade for him. :lol

If you want to see bad secondary (or bad defense as a matter of fact) :lol watch the Saints.

The Saints secondary is pretty bad as well. Malcolm Jenkins and Roman Harper are abysmal in pass coverage and Jabari Greer is hurt most of the team. That same secondary allowed Alex Smith to go 70 yards in 40 seconds and let Josh Freeman throw 420 yards this past week :lol

To the guys who put RG3 as their top 5 MVP candidates, if the pro-bowl started today who would you select as the top 3 qbs in the west? There's Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. Would you guys put him over Drew Brees?
