By far to me its Tannehill. I dont think anyone saw this coming especially with no big time playmakers at receiver

Andrew Luck...took over a 2-14 team that has one of the worst rushing attacks and defenses in the league. On offense, he has revitalized 32 y/o Reggie Wayne's career while having rookies as his next 3 options. His playmaking ability is uncanny as well--as he has also made great plays with his feet, while remaining smart and not getting concussed by defenses.

DD is dead on, it's Luck without a doubt since two other rookie QBs are getting more attention even though they have been less impressive. Since his team needs him to do everything Luck is averaging over 40 pass attempts a game which is insane for a rookie QB and has two wins against above .500 teams already.

On defense there are a lot of rookies off to great starts the media is ignoring because it's busy promoting a certain agenda.

Chandler Jones is the only one receiving the praise he deserves, no real complaints there. Every time New England gets a stop on 3rd down it's because Jones gets enough pressure quickly so the secondary doesn't have to cover well. It's scary to think of how bad New England's D would be with Jones. With a QB playing as average as Brady has played, the media should be talking about other stuff, like New England's one good defensive player.

Vontaze Burfict would have been a 1st rounder if he didn't have sickle cell anemia in his brain, but he's played really well this year and isn't getting talked about much. I had no idea he was starting as an undrafted rookie until I saw the Bengals' game last week.

Luke Kuechly has been very good for Carolina so far but the media is largely ignoring it too. Carolina's QB has successfully stolen all of his attention by intentionally losing games (only logical explanation for how bad he has been) and acting emo so the media will focus on him and ignore Kuechly.

Lavonte David has been really good as a rookie yet Tampa Bay's extremely mediocre QB has gotten a lot of media attention over him. Can't really explain that one either except for an agenda in the media that's hard to diagnose.

Bobby Wagner is the 2nd leading tackler on the best defense in the NFL as a rookie starting at middle linebacker yet Keyshawn Johnson, Tom Jackson, Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, etc. have overlooked his importance in spite of how much time they've spent hyping the Seahawks' QB when the Seahawks are one of the most run oriented offenses in the NFL and have one of the least productive passing offenses. Similar to Wagner, Bruce Irvin was a Seahawks pick everyone on ESPN scoffed at the time and now are ignoring even though he's had 4.5 sacks with very limited snaps. Two rookies both contributing a lot to the best defense in the NFL yet the media has some agenda to persist with the notion that Seattle's QB is why they're 4-3. Very weird tbh.

Mychal Kendricks has also played very well for Philly but it's going unnoticed because they have a QB who turns the ball over a lot and leaves Kendricks' defense in bad spots. Philly recently fired its defensive coordinator in spite of Kendricks' excellent development because they needed to provide the media with someone to scapegoat even though it's illogical to blame the defensive coordinator when games are lost due to offensive turnovers. This is probably part of the same agenda we're seeing with Lavonte David, Kuechly, Wagner, Irvin, and Luck getting the short end of the hype stick.
