“When [Obama] came over to our little area” at Andrew Air Force Base, says Woods, “he kind of just mumbled, you know, ‘I’m sorry.’ His face was looking at me, but his eyes were looking over my shoulder like he could not look me in the eye. And it was not a sincere, ‘I’m really sorry, you know, that your son died,’ but it was totally insincere, more of whining type, ‘I’m sorry.’”

Woods says that shaking President Obama’s hands at his son’s memorial service was “like shaking hands with a dead fish.”

“It just didn’t feel right,” he says of his encounter with the commander in chief. “And now that it’s coming out that apparently the White House situation room was watching our people die in real time, as this was happening,” Woods says, he wants answers on what happened—and why there was no apparent effort to save his son’s life.

What a fuck-up. Hopefully this guy isn't one heartbeat away from being president for much longer.

I can't stand the stories Joe Biden tells when referring to meeting families of the fallen...but here's something to think about. WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT AN APOLOGY WHEN YOUR CHILD CHOSE TO LIVE A LIFE THAT MAY PUT THEM IN THE MOST DANGEROUS LOCATIONS IN THE WORLD?????

You, as an adult, do not expect an apology to be made to your family for a choice you made. Yeah, death sucks, losing your loved ones is a nightmare...but you know the military, law enforcement, and the Middle East are fucking crazy places to be. You serve a commander in chief, you serve a local municipality, or end up chasing a nice paycheck overseas as a contractor...and I see no reason why anyone needs to apologize to anyone for your life choices.

I mean, if I was President, I wouldn't tell mouse's family..."Sorry mouse's family, he died making a documentary in the Iran and they fucking gutted him and dragged him down the streets cuz he was an American and they hate Americans over there." Shit is dangerous, people. NO ONE can sincerely apology for something like that.

US military actions have gone far beyond the war on terror imho. i mean since when has it become an errand for us to eliminate autocracies and build democracies in those countries? don't see the wars in iraq, libya and possibly syria making the US any safer, and even if the wars really needed to be done, leave the job to europeans and mercenaries so it wouldnt have cost american lives.

i don't expect every american to be a patriot but at the very least you should ask yourself whether its fun or no fun to demean those american families who've lost sons or daughters in iraq or afghanistan tbh

the fake outrage machine is back.

Did it ever go away? It must have been a nice quiet few seconds if it did.

Guaranteed, the same people roasting Biden for this were the ones who voted twice for one of the biggest warmonger vice presidents ever, Cheney...
