If I am not mistaken, the 3rd quarter was the one leading up to the release of the iPhone 5. And the iPhone 5 was released in the 4th quarter. So obviously the sales of iPhones are going to be down before the launch of the 5. Second, they say Samsung beat apple in units sold. Apple sells ONE device, how many does Samsung sell? Like 5, 6? They don't say the Galaxy beat the iPhone in sales.

It's not Apple Vs Galaxy. It's Apple Vs Samsung. Apple sells 3 iphones including the 5.
