I honestly don't know much about this guy. Even after the preseason. Seems like he'll be limited to playing Shooting Guard with his height.

What do you think we're going to get out of this guy? Key role player, x-factor, bench warmer, etc...?

I wish the best for this guy and hope that he proves to be a solid contributor this season.

Well, with Spurs current roster, De Colo will be a bench warmer.

If Spurs believe he is a good enough that he should get some playing time as soon as his rookie year, they had to trade away Neal.

Exactly. He's a prospect whose PT will be determined as the year winds down.

Neal's seeing more time at the 2 again, though - but I think Pop's regular season rotation was what we saw in the Wizards game, with the exception of Jack subbing in.

The Spurs have to trade for a better PF than Diaw to start. Diaw is a good player, but the Spurs need an all-star to stay competitive. Hopefully, with so many guards, the Spurs could make a trade and still have enough talent.

It's strange that a nearly $2m / season player's role is warming the bench.

To get an All-Star level big on the Spurs they'd have to pay through the nose for one. GMs pay for size and talent.

When Chicago failed to net Wade or Bosh they got Carlos Boozer, and Bulls fans want to lynch Reinsdorf. Of course one could say Thibodeau was the real FA signing that helped, but whatever.

David West signed for $10M per season with Indy. Maybe the Spurs could make a trade to get him.

well with Manu injuries, he could become a factor
