So I'm going out tonight to get a supply of Halloween candy for tomorrow. I always get my favorites, Smarties and Bazooka Bubblegum. What else do you guys recommend? What candy did you love or hate to get when you were a kid?

I love me some candy corn. Especially the ones that are different colors not just yellow/orange. But my faves when I was a kid were the apple blow pops with the bubblegum in the middle or the tootsie roll pops. The corner store used to give us a free one if we could spot the indian shooting a star on the tootsie roll pop wrapper.

Worst halloween candy ever made are those peanut butter taffy's in the black & orange wrappers. :vomit: I used to hate getting those and would throw them away. :lol

I'm not giving out candy this year.

My pops used to be a master mechanic for Sunshine back in the 80's-90's and he would get the snack size bags of cheez-its and other chips and crackers from the company (Which used to be a part of the Bell Brand family in Santa Fe Springs, CA...) and pass them out as the replacement for candy. Suffice to say, most trick-or-treaters loved it and would refer to him as the chip man...

My favorite candy for Halloween is Snickers or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I've never been a huge candy person in general, but I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Reese's Pieces.

And I love the shit out of Smarties. Don't even really know why, other than perhaps nostalgia. I hate the SweetTarts that are packaged to look like Smarties, though. Deceptive fuckers.

So far today I've had a Tootsie Roll, Almond Joy, Butterfinger, and about 50 Smarties :) I still have about 10 more to sample. I'll be comatose before a kid even rings my doorbell :lol

I'm dressing up as mouse and if I stop by your house I'd love for you to put a job and a computer that runs on something newer than windows 98 in my bag. Thanks.

All I know is that there are more and more health nutjobs who will pass out rice cakes, raisins or coupons for a tasteless sammich full of tofu and greens.

teenagers shouldn't get any candy. That being said, my 15 year old step daughter is demanding to go trick-or-treating and this is something I am not willing to fight about. I hope she doesn't get anything.

Show her a picture of a 12 year old wearing a diaper and say "THIS IS WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE RIGHT NOW".

She has.... issues. That won't work. Like I said, we fight over enough, I am not going to put any effort into that, if she wants to look like a baby, that's her deal.

I was begging for a tootsie roll pop all night! Then I was finally given two. Couldn't find the Indian shooting a star though.
