Flight (2012) w/Denzel

anybody else wanting to see this? i know there's a lot of nigs on here who think Denzel is the greatest actor alive. I don't, but I think him and Don Cheadle are easily the two best black actors, and both are very good. Looks like a very good cast in a film with a lot of moral ambiguity.

The reason I'm most excited is Robert Zemeckis is returning to a live action film with a smaller budget, something he hasn't done in awhile, so I'm curious how he handles it. I'm reading good things on it so I'll try to catch it sometime next week.

Denzel is my nigga, and I'm excited to watch this movie!

No reason to categorize Denzel as "best black actor". He's one of the best actors period. His roles are predictable, always saving something that seems hopeless but often at the cost of his own life or career. Even in Training Day he died. His best work imo was Glory but I also liked him in Man of Fire.

Damn Training Day was such a bad ass movie. I'm suprised I haven't bought it yet. I'll do that tomorrow.

favorite recent Denzel film for me was American Gangster. I'm a huge Ridley Scott fan (rip Tony Scott) and Denzel and Russell Crowe brought the goods for that film. It wasn't a masterpiece, but American Gangster was very solid.
