....solid head coach... He deserves a couple more years to implement his system, tbh....

I agree Lakers need to be patient with him, he has a lot of new players to integrate. It is not that easy to integrate a former PG mvp and the most dominant big man in the game. It takes time, I'd say two years at least.

No! Fire that fucker now!

I'm only kidding--but I've never been a fan of him to begin with. If he can't figure this thing out, he needs to be cut.

That's what Bulls fans are saying about Thibs right now too.

I think Mike Brown is a better offensive coach than Thibs by far tbh. Mike Brown's problem is that he's too nice. He needs to put the boot to some asses for not doing it right.

Mike Brown's other problem is that outside of Nash, Kobe, Gasol, and Jamison, almost every player on the Lakers is as dumb as a bag of rocks. They don't exactly seem to adapt quickly.

I don't think Mike Brown is nearly as bad as some are claiming he is. His ideas are sound, but they're not being implimented properly. Then again, he's not exactly Pay Riley, Phil Jackson, or Gregg Popovich either. So if you expect that level of expertise, you'll always be disappointed.

This makes sense actually, and is why we should never really write off the faggots in LA. They have so many ways to beat you offensively all they have to figure out is a good balance of when to let Kobe chuck, when to run the pick and roll, post up the mammoths, or run the Princeton offense...fortunately for the rest of us the egos and Browns incompetence make it a toss-up on whether they can figure it out.

Two observations:
1) Seems like the chain of blame as gone from Shaq's diet, Luke Walton, Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, to Mike Brown. I always thought Howard would be next.
2) Two games, and the blame comes a flying. Good job Laker fans.

Tbh, Mike Brown is absolutely not to blame for the Lakers' woes, it's these bitch players padding their stats and being lazy...

If a player is stat padding then a coach should have the balls to bench him.

We won't see any Nash p&r

As for the criticism Mike Brown's been getting of the way Steve Nash is being used, Brown reiterated that the veteran has the ability to run a pick-and-roll game any time he wants, adding that Nash didn't want to play pick-and-roll because it wears him out.

Mike Brown:

"Steve can play pick-and-roll if he wants to, but even he said he doesn't want to do that anymore because it wears him out," Brown said. "He likes the flexibility of giving it up and getting it back in other areas of the floor. Or giving it up and the ball moving and bodies are moving and he doesn't have to make a play for everybody every time down the floor."

Asked whether that was indeed the case.

Steve Nash:

"It's not that it wears me out. It's that I'm not sure right now that should be the focus right now," Nash says. "I'm very reluctant to worry about myself. I want to learn, I want to build this team up and then if I need to be more proactive and a bigger part of things, that'll come. But right now, I want to try to get the offense going, get the guys going, get everyone's confidence up and we'll find a happy medium sometime down the road."

Mike Brown:

"We can say, 'Steve, go play pick-and-roll.'….He did it in Phoenix for a long time. They won a lot of games. It was fun to watch. Where were they in May?"

As for whether he was worrying about himself, or his job security, Brown laughed it off.

Mike Brown:

"I get paid great money. I've got a great job," he said. "I wanted this job. I still want this job. So I'm OK with it."
