Arrogant prick. David Aldridge was been a classact and Pop talks to him like he's a piece of crap. Classless IMO

Uncalled for, made Aldridge very uncomfortable, but hilarious :lol

Who fucking cares, arrogant is not the word to use. He has treated reporters like idiots for years, them and their producers fault for continuously wanting to talk to him

It's like you can't win against Pop. Kinda felt bad for Aldridge. If Sager was there, Pop would haven't have done that.

Pop was a super dick cause he expected better out of Aldrige.

Tbh, what do you expect when reporters only talk to him after Spurs blow a lead or are losing? Of course he's going to be unhappy.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. You think by now an announcer would throw Pop a curve ball an ask him to correlate an offensive play with the Boxer rebellion of the early 1900s or some other nonsensical gibberish.

Now what's more fucked up is Reggie calls the games and Alridge does those interviews or short little info soundbites.

Yeah so true, Aldridge overall is a good speaker etc. Reggie says the dumbest fucking things all game long

You mean things like, "Tim Duncan with the homerun pass!" What in the hell is a homerun pass?

Seriously, there can't be anyone in the world who enjoys hearing Reggie Miller call games.

I feel sorry for deaf people who have to sit there and read what Reggie Miller is saying. At least us talkies can just ignore what he says. Imagine having to read that nonsense. They must think their closed captioning is broken.

exactly.

aldridge looked nervous the moment the camera started recording.

you can tell he did not want anything to do with interviewing pop.

he let his nerves get the best of him and asked pop a dumb question.

:lol So what's new? Maybe the sideline guys who go to interview him should be smarter with their questions...

Its to be expected. I'm sure the producers let Pop know before hand that he is more than welcomed to tear some sideline reporter ass during interviews. Good for ratings, tbh.

Pop is always a dick to the reporters unless they are former NBA players or Coaches...I kinda felt bad for the guy though cause he isn't a douche like some of the other reporters.

It's Pop's schtick with the press now. Me? I'd rather a smartass than a robot or whiner.

this happened after the game;

Aldridge (waiting for pop near the spurs lockerroom) : " Hey Pop, ya got a minute?

Pop: Yeah, how can I help you?

Aldridge: Looky here muthafucka' , the next time you pull that shit on me on national tv Im gonna fuck you up without mercy you old ugly pizza-face muthafucka!

Pop: whoa, I'm sorry - take it easy I was just-

Aldridge (Interrupting) Shut the fuck up you old piece of shit! You better get the fuck outta my face before I fuck you up right here for no fuckin reason -other than you are one ugly white boy!
Muthafucka" (walks away with a swagger)

I know we're all used to Pop being Pop with sideline reporters but that was a little too much tbh. Doesn't matter if it was a stupid question or not, Pop crossed the line (even if the line was very far out for him).

He can be a dick in his post-game and practice interviews too, but he's almost always like that during those between quarter interviews. It's hard to blame him. He's got other shit on his mind and they disturb him because of a contractual obligation with the network.
