my hopes for this season weren't high, i still figured Spurs would compete, but it seemed like Sterns wet dream of Kobe/Lebron was inevitable. but with the Lakers clear issues and OKC looking worse off, this season feels more unpredictable, which is a good thing.

C'mon guys. We're better than this.

I dig the wins, but this is preseason. Come late April/May, everybody is 0-0.

If you don't like these celebratory threads then turn off your station.

I enjoy the regular season because I know these Spurs are likely to sink in late April/May.

Enjoy while it lasts.

Spurs are easily better than OKC this year if they can remain healthy.

Lakers, honestly, 0-11 to start off the pre season and season. Kobe's trying even less on defense this year than he has the last two years, which means LA has the worst backcourt defense of any "top 10" team this year with him and Nash stinking it up on D'. I think they'd lose to us in the playoffs tbh. Possibly OKC too if Stern is on their side again.

Clipps are better than last year though. Tbh, I could see them being the #1 or #2 seed this year. It ain't gonna be OKC or Lakers.

I'm confident Spurs can get back to the WCF, and possibly make it to the Finals to face the Heat who have no competition out east again this year.

It's too early in the season to draw any conclusions. The Lakers are struggling now, because of all the changes. 2 starters, plus new bench players. But they have a lot of talent, and will start rolling eventually.

OKC also just traded Harden, is yet to be seen how effective are going to be Martin and the other new players.

Im not drawing any conclusions about the season (yeah, its way early) but Ive been a Spurs fan since the ABA days so I know when to savor victories. Some of you turds go ahead and fret, Im going to enjoy it for a day at least.

Martin has looked pretty solid so far with the Thunder. Also, the Lakers are three games into the season. They got 79 more games to figure things out. I'm pretty sure we'll be one of the top teams by the end of the season but don't count these guys out yet.

I would narrow it further and say the Heat and Spurs are the two teams to beat this year in their respective conferences.
