There should be at least 10-15 teams that get in a bidding war over him if he doesn't come back to New Orleans.

Dallas should be one of the teams that get in a bidding war for him. Unfortunately, Jerry Jones doesn't like alpha male coaches who say to the owner, "There are multiple teams who will gladly hire me and let me do things my way. If you want me to do things your way then it's not gonna work." He prefers Garrett and Phillips type Beta males who are so worried about their job security as a head coach that they'll do whatever Jones tells them to do.

Yeah, Payton pretty much has final say in Saints personnel decisions so I doubt he would give that up to someone like Jerry Jones. In the end, Payton will go to the place where he gets the most money, most control, and best chance to win. He pretty much has all that in New Orleans. Benson won't let him go easily.

Yeah, Payton seems like the type that would have no trouble telling Jerry what a retarded old bag of dicks he is.

Yrp, remember Payton was a Parcells guy not a Jones guy. I can see Payton leaving cause the NO defense is shit now and there's nothing that says it will improve cause he's an offensive guy.

Their defense doesn't have to be great. Just average. They're gonna make changes by getting rid of the veterans in the offseason and starting over through the draft.

They should get rid of that overrated hack Spagnoulo. For whatever reason he's thought of as a defensive guru because his scheme in 2007 was run an extremely vanilla 4-3 defense that dropped 7 into coverage every time and didn't need to blitz because Osi, Tuck, and Strahan got enough pressure on their own. The only thing he did with that defense which could be attributed to smart coaching was their 3rd down package that matched Tuck up against interior linemen he could destroy.
