too many $Bs for PIC, prosecutors, racist cops making quota, too many banks laundering MJ money. Feds probably will crack down, like they are in CA, elsewhere.

MJ, and hemp! :lol , prohibition is just of the many idiocies in America. But prohibition and prosecution and money laundering will keep it that, payoff too big.

Now that the ball is in the Feds court, I wonder what they'll do.

They'll shut it down... even if they would have no problem with individual states doing it, actually stopping drugs from exiting the particular states would be a logistical nightmare.

Already legal in a lot of states, I have many friends using cannabis for "medical purposes" :lmao

While utilizing cannabis for recreational purposes is illegal in many parts of the world, many countries are beginning to entertain varying levels of decriminalization for medical usage (the medical marijuana movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Medical_marijuana_movement&action=edit&redlink=1)), including Canada, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, Israel, Italy, Finland, and Portugal. In the United States, federal law outlaws all use of herb parts from Cannabis, while some states have approved use of herb parts from Cannabis as medical cannabis in conflict with federal law. The United States Supreme Court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Supreme_Court) has ruled in United States v. Oakland Cannabis Buyers' Coop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Oakland_Cannabis_Buyers%27_Coop) and Gonzales v. Raich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzales_v._Raich) that the federal government has a right to regulate and criminalize cannabis, even for medical purposes. A person can therefore be prosecuted for a cannabis-related crime even if it is medical cannabis that is legal according to the laws of this state.

:lol medical marijuana movement

Can someone explain to me what the fed govt can do and how they can do it in order to stop this law in Colorado from "happening"? I guess I'm confused as to what the concerns are for the dispensaries and users in the state.

For the record, I'm so fucking proud of my home state for passing this shit.
