:tu Good stuff. Thanks for posting.

Pretty much reinforces what we were already talking about. Republicans have a big problem when it comes to women & minorities.

They oversampled women, obviously.

It's biased.

Romney still has a shot.

According to Darrin last night its actually the minorities and women who have the problem.

Lower income is just a demographic they're never going to get. College educated women is where the GOP needs to be looking at.

Is 48,000 a year lower class in Darrin/Romney World?

Does Darrin do this to try to make himself feel better or to intentionally look worse?

Does Darrin do this to try to make himself feel better or to intentionally look worse?blaming educated women, minorities and poor people for the world's problems is an all purpose handle on reality, or can be.

Repugs are demographically screwed. The racist tea baggers (eg TX Cruz) will keep them extreme right, misogynist, anti-immigrant, all financed by Kock Bros/1%ers. Demographics will be worse for them in 2016, plus the economy will be 4 years further beyond the Banksters' Great Depression, so a Dem candidate closely identified with/endorsed/campaigned for Obama will have the wind at HIS back (can't be Hillary).

Middle class voted mostly for Romney.
The Wiki chart you linked:
"As social classes lack clear boundaries and overlap there are no definite income thresholds as for what is considered middle class."
Median Income
All households $46,326

Household income distribution
Middle 33% $35,000 to $55,000
Middle 20% $30,000 to $62,500

Your Sac Bee chart had 46% voting for Obama in the $50,000 to $99,000 range.
If those in the $45,000-50,000 are added in I'll bet Obama did 50% in the $45,000 to $99,000 range.
Hardly your "Middle class voted mostly for Romney."

I've read that the Dems will beat the Reps in the longrun by making them turn into Dems. It's true; the Reps are screwed demograpically. Saw on Drudge that Reps got 61% of the white vote. That would've been an easy victory not that long ago. The fact is that this election was set in motion decades ago with the immigration doors being thrown open, as well as the sexual/cultural revolution that has lead directly to a drop in religion and increases in divorce and single motherhood. Some Reps will say they have to drop their abortion stance to have any chance with single whites, especially women, obviously.

As I've said before, whether you like or hate Pat Buchanan, the predictions that he and people like him started making a long time ago are going to come to pass. Hell, they've already started. The Left mostly sees this as progress, while the right mostly sees this as the beginings of the collapse of an advanced society.

The Reps best hope would be to try to shift the demographics back in their favor, not to try to get a bigger piece of the existing pie. Pretty much shutting the immigration door and figuring out how to get whites to marry early again and produce more children would be the best thing that could happen for them. But that's racist so they will just keep losing elections.

The problem is women for the GOP. They desperately need to drop their hard line stance on abortion. IMHO, it's a landslide in Romney's favor if Romney nuts up and says 'I don't give a fuck what women do with their bodies.' He's still a Christian and still commands the right wing Christian vote regardless. He's already said that anyway in his flip flopping past.

Yep.

The media is the reason, and they wield their power against the ignorant public.

If it wasn't women and minorities, it would have been something else. The media is overwhelmingly Blue Team.

If red team would spend a fraction of the time they spend worrying about the media to worrying about how to attract women and minorities to their cause, they might have a chance.

Yeah it's the media's fault that women are so offended by old men commenting that pregnancies resulting from rape are blessings from God or scientific impossibilities. If not for the media, women would be thanking these old men for their perspectives on their bodies.

That's a major problem with politics.

How many feel that way?

Is it possible ignorant people are believing what the media suggests applies to most or all?
