before they can even get home on election night!
From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

Well, I've never had my employer pay for my rides to work or back. Were they misusing the cards to begin with?

lol, good ol' Wild Cobra. There's nothing any conservative or Republican could do or say that would keep him from charging to their defense. I bet the threads here about Todd Akin and the rest of the rape baby caucus were solid gold.

Do you know the facts surrounding this? I don't. You are taking the article at face value that they were screwed. I'm pointing out that maybe that was never a purpose of the card.
Please show me what entitles them to use that credit card for travel to and from work.

No, Wild Cobra, campaign staffers who travel with the campaign don't pay for cabs, hotels and airfare out of their own pocket. I'll blow your mind even further; a great many companies also pay for their employees' travel expenses as well.

The workers were ambushed by the cards cancelled while charging for what had been customarily covered with approval of the mgmt.
WC _ALWAYS_ assumes the individual is guilty and the organization if faultless. The military brainwashed him totally and long term into grunt-think, soul-fucking guilt complex.

now thats funny.......and extremely accurate.
That has asshole accountant CFO written all over it to me (I have an asshole accountant CFO).
I can see him; "Well, of course we cancelled the cards; the campaign was over the moment voting ended in California...it would have been a violation of Federal Law for the campaign to pay for any more of your expenses (they always claim it's a violation of Federal Law).
Asshole CFO's are important to have around; they keep us management/owner types honest. However, it is the Mgmt/Owner type's responsibility to keep the asshole in check. Obviously, Romney - or his surrogate, didn't.

Yeah I think Hawaii is still voting 6-7 hours after California. Plus the campaign doesn't end when the polls close. You have to wind everything down.
I'm not saying you're wrong about some dick at the office making this decision because that seems quite likely to me but anyone attached with the campaign should know better than to think that everything ended when the last poll closed. This shit was really cold. I personally have a hard time believing that Romney is completely thankless to the people who pretty much busted their ass for him harder than anyone else (but if he is I'm sure as hell glad he didn't win).

Also, from personal experience - losing an election SUCKS. When I didn't make school board (have posted several times, fell 29 votes short - town of 30K) - It was damn depressing. I wanted all vestiges of the campaign gone; didn't want to see it, be reminded of it. It was extremely humbling; didn't think I would feel that way, and wasn't that concerned with winning or not, but when I actually lost - BAM. Drove around town that night and pulled up all of my campaign signs. People probably woke up the next day and were: WTF? That was just a $600 school board campaign that lasted 6 weeks; not a $6 B presidential campaign I ran for 6 years.
Whatever decisions he made that night, though I didn't vote for him, I give him a pass on.

I doubt Bishop Gecko made the cc decision, although its ruthlessness and ingratitude surely aligns with Bishop Gecko's own history of fucking over employees of his takeover targets.

That's right, Wild Cobra. The entire Romney Presidential campaign is run out of one office in one town. And every member of the campaign lives in that town. I know it's difficult for you to imagine other people have jobs that are different from yours, but...try.

That's right, misconstrue my words from a question I ask.
Aren't the people working these places working in offices in their home town?
Also, I find it funny that the article implies several had this problem. Another story I read has the count of affected workers at one! The linked article gives no number. Is it possible it assumes more? Maybe this guy maxed his card limit already?
I just love how you sheeple assume everything the media says is accurate. I'm not saying it isn't accurate, I'm saying I don't trust initial reports. I'm open to the truth being different. Why aren't you?
